The City of Maryland Heights is a part of the St. Louis Metropolitan area, yet a separate community in its own right. This city is located just south of the intersection of I-70 and I-270, the busiest intersection in the state. Several major destinations are just a short drive away: Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is eight miles east, and downtown St. Louis is just 15 miles east. Across the nearby Missouri River is growing St. Charles County. The city's strategic location has drawn the attention of more than 1,600 businesses, providing job to more than 55,000 people throughout the region. Maryland Heights has a unique, balanced mixture of hospitality, wholesale, retail, manufacturing and service industries. Major employers in the area included Edward Jones, Magella Behavioral Health, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and Harrah's Casino. They are extremely proud of what their city has accomplished in just 28 years. With more than 27,000 residents, a variety of housing styles and no city property tax, Maryland Heights is a great place to live, work and relax. And with Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre, Westport Plaza, Creve Coeur Park, Harrah's Casino, and Aquaport there is always something fun to do!
